When is comes to making a website many businesses tend to want to make it all about the Selling of whatever product or service they offer. But really we should be focusing on what the customer wants us to teach them or help them with. We are all experts in our own field and have a wealth of information to offer a potential customer, yet we find ourselves not sharing all that valuable knowledge, but resorting to putting out all the marketing things we want to tell them about why we are so great.
If we have a business that can make people suffering from cancer feel better and build their immune system to help fight the treatments better wouldn’t we want to shout that from the highest mountain? Not claiming you can cure them, but ease the symptoms they are feeling is probably what would sell your services or at least get them to call. Build a page that tells them how you can help – Title it with some searchable term they may use, sprinkle that phase into your content and you will be found.
Engage people to give yourself authority, credibility and build their trust in your company.
